Kelley Gary (R-Hoschton) Wins UGA College Republicans Straw Poll
Kelley Gary, candidate for Senate District 47, announced today his victory in the UGA College Republicans Straw Poll. Gary won the poll with over 53% of the vote. The straw poll took place Wednesday evening after a forum with all of the Senate District 47 candidates.
“I am honored to have received so much support from the UGA CRs. The results of this straw poll prove that when you put me side by side with my opponents, my ideas and my plan win every time. We are all tired of career politicians who talk a lot about everything but don’t accomplish anything. People are ready for new leadership with the courage to deliver conservative reform in Atlanta. That’s why I am running, and that is why I continue to pick up support all over the district.”
Said Gary, “I encourage everyone to visit my website www.garyforsenate.com or contact me and check out my plans to end the abusive property tax system, to end wasteful spending, create jobs and protect our farmers and agribusinesses, and protect our conservative values.”
Kelley Gary has proven that he has the courage to deliver for our families. When the city of Hoschton decided to pass a property tax for the first time in 30 years, Kelley stood up and fought the tax increase. When you say you can’t fight city hall, you can, Kelley has, and HE WON.
A small business owner, Kelley is the owner of Premier Storage in Braselton.
A 5th generation Jackson Countian, Kelley Gary is a product of Georgia Public Schools and the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelors in Business Administration. He also earned a Masters in Economics. Gary, 37, is married to the former Lora Porter of Jefferson, a public school teacher. They are active members of New Community Church in Hoschton.
